To mark Alien Day 2026, inspired by the planet LV-426 from the original Alien movie, Creative Assembly has released the first teaser trailer for the long-awaited sequel to their popular survival horror game, Alien: Isolation.
A sequel to Alien: Isolation was initially revealed in 2024 to mark the game’s 10th anniversary, but updates have been scarce. Meanwhile, the Alien universe as a whole is thriving with new projects like Alien: Romulus, Alien: Earth, and Alien: Rogue Incursion.
Creative Director Al Hope previously mentioned that more information about the sequel would follow the game’s initial announcement, but significant details about the next chapter in Amanda Ripley’s story haven’t been shared until now.
Diving Into Alien: Isolation 2’s Teaser Trailer
The brief teaser trailer for the next Alien: Isolation game doesn’t share the official title yet, but what it does show is really exciting for fans of the original sci-fi survival horror game.
The trailer opens with a slow, shadowy view of a door that looks like the ones seen on the spaceships Nostromo and Torrens, and the Sevastopol Station. An alarm sounds, and then the door unexpectedly glows green.
The scene begins with a stormy, rain-soaked atmosphere, reminiscent of the weather on the planet LV-426 in the movie Aliens after it was developed into the Hadley’s Hope colony by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.
The trailer quickly flashes to a registration point – those familiar, helpful save locations from the Torrens and Sevastopol stations – positioned right by a door during the height of the storm, then cuts to the Creative Assembly logo.
The trailer then shows a quick shot of the registration kiosk, focusing on the word “EMERGENCY” displayed at the top, before immediately fading to black and ending soon after.
This trailer hints that Sega and Creative Assembly might share more information, and possibly gameplay, about the sequel to Alien: Isolation later this year. The trailer included a notice that the game is awaiting an ESRB rating, which suggests development is progressing well.

Hope mentioned the game was already being worked on in 2024. Given that the trailer seems to use assets from the original game, a release as early as 2027 is possible.
Sega and Creative Assembly might share more information, and possibly even show gameplay, for the next Alien: Isolation game later this year.
This first look at the new game confirms it will take place, at least in part, on a planet’s surface. It may also draw story elements from the comics that continued Alien: Isolation, specifically Aliens: Resistance and Aliens: Rescue, which featured Amanda Ripley exploring Weyland-Yutani installations on a planet.
Instead of continuing the storylines from the comics or the mobile game Alien: Blackout, the game could start a fresh story for Amanda Ripley. This new story would pick up after she was left stranded in space following the events of Isolation, when a Xenomorph invaded the Torrens.
