The online multiplayer mod for the game Bully has been permanently discontinued. Developers have confirmed that the project is finished and all related services are no longer available.
The creators of Bully Online announced the game will be permanently shut down. They plan to take the servers offline and remove everything associated with the game within the next 24 hours.
It won’t be returning, and development has completely ceased. This means new content won’t be created, the game’s code will be removed, downloads will no longer be available, and all player accounts will be permanently deleted.
Why was Bully Online shutdown?
Honestly, the devs just suddenly shut everything down, and they weren’t really clear why. Their announcement basically just said they didn’t want to do it, which is… frustrating, to say the least. It feels like they could have given us a little more info.
The popular Bully Online mod, created by SWEGTA, is no longer available. While the exact reason hasn’t been officially announced, many suspect a specific cause, and SWEGTA plans to share more details in an upcoming video.

So, the big news is that the GTA 3 remake project has been taken down. Swegta, the YouTuber who’s been showing off the progress, is going to explain everything in a video soon. Everyone’s guessing that Rockstar or Take-Two, the companies behind GTA, made them pull it, which wouldn’t be surprising – they’ve shut down fan projects before.
Swegta has said he will make the video on January 21.

Players have 24 hours left to enjoy the game server. They’re asked to save any screenshots or special moments they want to remember before it shuts down. The game’s Discord channels will also be removed.
Bully Online was first revealed in October and released in December as a multiplayer modification for the game Bully. Because it was created as an open-source project, players were able to continually expand and improve it, and it quickly featured role-playing options and a variety of mini-games.
Rockstar’s co-founder explained in September 2025 why the studio never made a Bully 2.
