A huge group of horror enthusiasts gathered in Boston and successfully set a new Guinness World Record for the most people dressed as Michael Myers.
Fans at PAX East in Boston got their first chance to play a demo of the upcoming Halloween video game, developed by Illfonic, Gun Interactive, and Further Front.
To celebrate, the developers invited fans to a convention, encouraging them to dress up as Michael Myers in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people portraying the iconic slasher.
254 people gathered wearing the iconic mask and overalls
Illfonic’s Miles Dompier told Guinness World Records that organizing such a large event was very complicated, particularly because of strict rules about who was allowed to join.
A large group of people dressed as Michael Myers gathered outside the convention center, hoping to break a world record. Guinness World Records confirmed their success – a total of 254 Michael Myers look-alikes had assembled, setting a new record while chanting “MICHAEL!”

Dompier praised the community, saying they braved the cold and wind in Boston to make this achievement possible, and expressed deep gratitude for everyone who shared in the historic event.
The new Halloween video game is set to release on September 8, 2026.
