Onigashima: Awakening releases for PC via Steam in Q3 2026, demo available now

Shinkuro Valley has launched a Steam page for their upcoming game, . The deck-building RPG is scheduled to release on PC in either the third quarter of 2026 or during the fall season that year.

The company has also published a demo version of the game on the same page, where players can check out the early parts of the game. However, they also noted that parts of this demo have been adjusted to differ from the upcoming full release.

Shinkuro Valley recently released a gameplay trailer for Onigashima: Awakening on their YouTube channel, based on the public demo. You can watch the video and see game details and screenshots below. The game will be available in both Japanese and English.

Your adventure takes place on ONIGASHIMA, an island inhabited by the ONI.

Travel across the island of ONIGASHIMA and defeat the ONI to save your homeland from their dangerous threat.

Recruit unique animal companions and customize your offensive options through deck building.

I love how much you can customize the characters in this game! Depending on the cards you choose for them, they can grow and change in so many different directions. It really lets you build a team that feels totally unique to your playstyle.

You can completely personalize each character by choosing their skills, customizing how they attack, building unique passive effects, and adjusting many other options.

All battles are fully automated.

Battles play out based on the strategies you set up in advance, so careful planning is essential for winning.

So, I’m trying to decide how to build my team. Do I go for a well-rounded group that can handle anything, or do I just stack everything on super-powerful attacks and hope for the best? It’s totally up to me, which is kinda cool… and a little stressful!

Just a heads-up from the developers – this game is built to be played with just your mouse! You don’t need a controller or anything else. Seriously, everything can be done using only the mouse, so I’m excited to relax and enjoy exploring the world with it. It sounds super intuitive!
