Get ready, fans! Heated Rivalry just unexpectedly released two songs from the show’s soundtrack at midnight. The music, created by Canadian artist Peter Peter, will sound familiar to anyone who’s enjoyed the popular series. This is a treat for fans while they wait for the full soundtrack later this month, and for news about season two of Hollanov on HBO Max and Crave – which we’re all eagerly anticipating!
The series begins with the instrumental techno track “Rivalry,” which is featured throughout the show. Its energetic, club-like sound perfectly captures the atmosphere of Challengers.
The second song, “It’s You,” is a slow and atmospheric track that appeared in the second episode. Its lyrics are simple and direct, mirroring the short, one-word messages often exchanged between Jane and Lily – for example, “What the hell are you? / The hell are you? / Now please don’t go. / Now please don’t go…”
Jacob Tierney, the show’s creator, hoped Carly Rae Jepsen would contribute music, and Miley Cyrus has expressed interest in doing so for the next season. However, before that happens, fans are expected to create countless videos set to the show’s songs.
