The LA Waves are returning for a third season! Netflix has renewed Kate Hudson’s basketball series, confirming Season 3 is on the way.
Fans were on the edge of their seats after the shocking ending of Season 2, but thankfully, the story continues! Running Point launched in February 2025 and quickly became popular, leading Netflix to renew it for a second season in just a few days. The renewal was confirmed less than three weeks after its premiere.
During its presentation on May 13th, Netflix announced several exciting updates. These include second seasons of My Life with the Walter Boys and Dan Levy’s show, as well as a fantasy series based on the movie Barbaric.
Isla Gordon returns in Season 3 to manage the challenges of running the LA Waves basketball team, balancing both the cutthroat world of business and her personal life. Following the events of Season 2, she’ll be dealing with these issues simultaneously, though specific details of the new season are still unconfirmed.
The hit comedy sports series comes from Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen.
Running Point Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Netflix. Season 3 doesn’t have a release date.
