Popular YouTuber MrBeast revealed he’s launching a massive membership program and plans to release new content this summer.
Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is currently the most popular creator on YouTube, and at 28 years old, he’s planning even bigger projects for his channel.
On May 12th, Beast Industries held a breakfast event for its top executives at Penthouse 45, a high-end location in New York City, according to Business Insider.
The event drew major players like Coca-Cola, KFC, Disney, and Lamborghini. MrBeast and his team used the opportunity to announce upcoming content and what they’re calling a groundbreaking new membership program.
MrBeast is branching into food, fitness and gaming content soon
The company’s biggest announcement this morning was a new membership program, which they aim to grow into the world’s largest service of its kind.
The membership program will include a charitable aspect, fitting with MrBeast’s focus on giving back in his videos.
The program will also offer members a sneak peek at videos, special content, and fun challenges, though details about the challenges weren’t provided.
People at the event said MrBeast is planning to expand the kinds of videos he makes, and will begin with food-related content this summer. This expansion isn’t necessarily exclusive to his membership program.
From there, the YouTuber would venture into fitness, gaming and other forms of entertainment.
According to David Cohen, CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau, the main issue is that they want to stop being part of a YouTube channel.
It remains to be seen how successful this membership program will be, and whether MrBeast can set a price that allows it to become the largest service of its kind globally.
