With many animated franchises releasing new movies, the Minions series has been remarkably successful. The upcoming film, Minions & Monsters, scheduled for release this year, will take audiences back to the 1920s. In this new adventure, the Minions will search for monsters to star in a movie, hoping to contain them before they can cause trouble for the world.
Pierre Coffin, the director of the first three Despicable Me films and the 2015 Minions movie, is returning to direct the third Minions installment. He’ll also once again provide the voices for the Minions, just as he has in all the previous films. Although the story is still a secret, fans are excited to learn who is working on the movie as it nears its release later this year.
Universal Pictures and Illumination’s upcoming film, Minions & Monsters, has announced its first six cast members. Allison Janney (known for I, Tonya), Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart), and Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) will all appear in the movie. Joining them are Christoph Waltz, Zoey Deutch, and Bobby Moynihan, who recently voiced a character in Hoppers. Currently, the specific roles each actor will play have not been disclosed.
