McDonald’s unveils Grimace menu with purple BBQ burger

McDonald’s recently launched a special purple menu item – a purple hamburger – to celebrate Grimace. However, it’s not available at all locations.

McDonald’s has often honored its iconic characters, with Ronald McDonald being the most recognizable. Other popular figures like the Hamburglar and Grimace have also been featured.

Grimace has been honored by McDonald’s several times, most notably with a special Grimace Shake to celebrate his 52nd birthday. This led to a popular online trend that, unfortunately, caused headaches for McDonald’s workers worldwide. Although the shake has reappeared occasionally, the trend itself has thankfully faded.

Now, the purple character is being honored with a special menu in Germany, where everything is themed in shades of purple.

McDonald’s purple menu celebrates Grimace in Germany

McDonald’s in Germany is bringing back the Grimace Shake as part of a special, limited-time menu, just like they did with the popular Grimace promotion.

The new menu includes a Purple Berry and Cream Sauce, a purple cream cheese pie, and a blueberry-filled McPops. However, the standout item is a striking purple BBQ burger.

As demonstrated by Snackolator, the burger features purple buns, sauce, and cheese.

McDonald’s Germany has released a special Grimace menu featuring vibrant purple treats! It includes a Purple BBQ Burger with purple cheese and sauce, a Grimace Shake, purple pie, and mini donuts. Unfortunately for US fans, this colorful lineup is currently only available in Germany.

Many social media users have pointed out that the burger’s dark buns are similar to a limited-edition Halloween offering from Burger King.

People expressed their excitement and disappointment online, with one person jokingly lamenting missing out on purple cheese. Others questioned why the product wasn’t available in the US and expressed a desire to purchase a Grimace keychain, noting its current limited availability in Germany.

“Everyone hating while I’m hoping it all comes to the us so I can try…,” another user chimed in. 

Currently, these menu items are only sold in Germany, and it’s unclear if they will be offered in other locations.
