MercurySteam and 505 Games are excited to release the second in a series of weekly videos about Blades of Fire – Version 2.0, which comes to Steam PC on May 14th.

This episode highlights a major new feature in Version 2.0 – Transmutation – which will give Aran and Adso more options and expand how you can play the game.

Blades of Fire Version 2.0 adds a new feature called Transmutation, letting players turn materials into other items right at the forge.

Once players have found a material, they can change it into any other material they’ve also discovered. It’s easy – just pick what you want to make, then choose what you want to use to create it.

Materials come in different levels, and you need to combine several lower-level materials to create a higher-level one. You can also break down higher-level materials to get a larger quantity of lower-level materials.

As a player, I’m really excited about the transmutation system! It basically lets me take all the stuff I’ve collected that I don’t need right now and turn it into the specific materials I do need for my next awesome weapon. It’s a great way to keep my inventory tidy and make sure I’m always prepared!
