McDonald’s and Nike collab for new shoe inspired by one of the chain’s most unique locations

McDonald’s and Nike have collaborated to create a new sneaker design, taking inspiration from a particularly interesting McDonald’s restaurant.

The McDonald’s x Nike Book 2 “Sedona” shoe takes inspiration from a unique McDonald’s location in Sedona, Arizona, known for its blue, rather than traditional yellow, Golden Arches.

The restaurant’s unique sign design goes back to the early 1990s. At that time, local authorities asked for it to blend in with the desert environment around Sedona, rather than stand out against the famous red rocks. This request was part of the area’s strict rules about how things should look.

This McDonald’s restaurant is unlike any other – it’s designed to feel like it’s from another world, and it’s become incredibly popular, even with McDonald’s owners.

New McDonald’s x Nike collab is straight fire

I’m loving the new colorway for Nike’s Book 2! Instead of going with the usual McDonald’s colors, they really went for a more natural look. It’s all tans, browns, and sandy colors on the shoe, and they even added these cool turquoise-blue accents inspired by the arches at the Sedona McDonald’s – it’s a really unique and clever design!

Turquoise details brighten up the Nike Swoosh, the inside of the shoe, the sole, and the McDonald’s logos, and it even extends to the special box. The shoe’s upper has a cracked design, giving it a worn, desert-inspired appearance.

On X (formerly Twitter), a user named ‘McFranchisee’ who says they own and operate a McDonald’s restaurant, praised the design, saying it was so good he wanted to buy a pair of shoes featuring it.

This partnership features Devin Booker’s Nike Book 2 shoes, which continue to draw inspiration from the culture and famous places of his home state, Arizona, where he plays for the Phoenix Suns.

The next McDonald’s and Nike shoe, called the Book 2 “Sedona,” will be available starting June 2, 2026, and will cost $155.
