Marvel’s Wolverine Officially Returns June 2026 With Big Reveal

Okay, awesome news for anyone like me who’s been hyped for this game! Sony just announced we’re getting a really good, long look at it during the June State of Play. Finally! I’m excited to see what they reveal.

The game Marvel’s Wolverine was first revealed with a short teaser showing Logan in Madripoor. A longer, more detailed trailer was released in September 2025, featuring action and a glimpse of a Sentinel. This suggests the game will be a worldwide adventure filled with battles against iconic villains from the X-Men universe.

Marvel’s Wolverine Officially Will Be At the June 2026 State of Play

Many fans were worried that we might not see Marvel’s Wolverine released on schedule, as Insomniac Games hadn’t shared any new updates. However, those concerns have been put to rest! PlayStation officially announced on their social media that Marvel’s Wolverine will be featured prominently at the upcoming State of Play event on June 2, 2026.

Unlike Nintendo, Sony isn’t holding back on announcements. Their upcoming State of Play presentation will be over an hour long, suggesting they have a lot to share, including new game reveals and updates. While Marvel’s Wolverine will be a major focus, it won’t be the only game featured. It’s been a while since fans last saw gameplay for Marvel’s Wolverine, so a substantial update is expected.

What Other Games Will Be Featured In the June 2026 State of Play?

With Saros no longer scheduled for release, the major PlayStation exclusives currently confirmed for 2026 are Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Horizon Hunters Gathering, Phantom Blade Zero, and Marvel’s Wolverine. If Sony plans a lengthy showcase, it suggests we’ll also see announcements from other game publishers.

People are eagerly anticipating news about the next Final Fantasy 7 Remake game, as well as updates on Grand Theft Auto 6. While announcements could come at Summer Games Fest, Rockstar could also release a Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer at any time and instantly generate massive viewership without needing Sony’s help.

Sony will probably reveal some unreleased games as well. There’s been talk that Cory Barlog, known for God of War, is developing a new game featuring Faye, the mother of Kratos’ son, Atreus. If the rumors are correct, we might finally get a first look at it soon.

We’re hoping to hear about more games soon, especially for the rest of the year. Currently, Marvel’s Wolverine isn’t competing directly with Grand Theft Auto 6, but plenty of other new games should be releasing around the holidays.
