The ‘Joey’ series, which continued the story after ‘Friends’, didn’t finish its second season on TV, but all the episodes that were never shown are now available to watch.
Friends is a hugely popular and critically acclaimed sitcom that continues to draw large audiences whenever and wherever it’s available to watch.
It’s not surprising that a spin-off show, ‘Joey,’ was created, focusing on Matt LeBlanc’s character as he pursues an acting career in Hollywood.
The show Joey originally filmed 46 episodes, but only 38 were shown on TV. The remaining eight episodes were never released—until now! You can finally watch all of them.
How to watch lost Joey episodes for free
All 46 episodes of the Friends spinoff, Joey, are now available to watch for free on YouTube.
In this installment of the series, Joey moves from New York to Los Angeles and reunites with his sister, Gina (played by Drea de Matteo). He also spends time with his incredibly smart nephew, Michael (Paul Costanzo).
Joey premiered in September 2004 to a lot of excitement and initially drew 18.6 million viewers. However, ratings gradually dropped, and the show was canceled during its second season.
But now every episode is available on the Friends YT channel, with the lost eight as follows:
- Episode 39: ‘Joey and the Dad’
- Episode 40: ‘Joey and the Party for Alex’
- Episode 41: ‘Joey and the Big Move’
- Epuside 42: ‘Joey and the Beard’
- Episode 43: ‘Joey and the Critic’
- Episode 44: ‘Joey and the Actor’s Studio
- Episode 45: Joey and the Holding Hands’
- Episode 46: ‘Joey and the Wedding’
According to Executive Producer Kevin S. Bright, the Friends spinoff, Joey, failed because the character was drastically changed. On Friends, Joey was a charming flirt and a reliable friend. But the spinoff portrayed him as struggling with work and relationships, turning him into a sad and unlikeable character. Bright expressed his concerns about this direction, but his opinions weren’t taken into account.
