Inspired by the saying about unequal pay, the second season of Jury Duty is switching things up and moving out of the courtroom. The new trailer reveals this season centers around Anthony Norman, a man hired for a corporate retreat who doesn’t realize he’s actually on a TV show. He’s working for a hot sauce company called Rockin’ Grandma’s, which is potentially being bought out by a group of investors—who all happen to be redheads. One employee jokingly notes the unusual concentration of gingers, a comment that might raise eyebrows in Ireland, but generally makes sense given the premise.
The improv group used in this operation features mostly lesser-known actors to avoid detection by the target. One standout performer is Rachel Kaly, a rising comedian recognized by Vulture in 2023, who also starred in the pilot for Nicole Holofcener’s Worried, which debuted at Sundance. The rest of the team includes comedians with experience at renowned institutions like the Groundlings (Emily Pendergast) and Second City (Blair Beeken), as well as character actors Alex Bonifer and Marc Sully Saint-Fleur. The new season begins streaming on Prime Video on March 20th. Are you prepared to begin?
