Popular streamer IShowSpeed was banned from a Houston, Texas mall after drawing huge crowds while shopping.
IShowSpeed kicked off his month-long U.S. streaming tour in late August, and it’s been packed with exciting events so far. Unfortunately, as often happens with IShowSpeed’s appearances, fans have also caused some disruptions.
The online streamer, back in his home state of Ohio, had to pay for damages after a fan broke a restaurant window by headbutting it. He’s also faced situations where fans have been upset with him for not acknowledging them in large gatherings.
So, when Speed came to Houston, things got a little crazy! Basically, the Galleria Mall had to ask him to leave because so many people were following him around, it was causing a lot of disruption. It was wild!
IShowSpeed confronted by police in Houston mall
Less than an hour after starting his broadcast, Speed and his team were directed to a Foot Locker by security because of the huge crowd that had gathered.
Speed’s security team tried to work out a plan with the police and mall security for leaving, warning them that more fans would gather if Speed stayed. Despite reaching an agreement on how to leave, security then prohibited Speed from remaining.
A mall employee informed the streamer he was banned from the property, following a decision by management. A security officer explained that Speed had caused too much disruption, which the YouTuber responded to with sarcasm before leaving with his group.
Following an incident in July where a TikToker was accused of murdering a 30-year-old Marine veteran, the mall has restricted content creators from filming on its property.
According to KPRC 2 in Houston, TikToker Justin Joshua Guzman (known as @guzmanhimself) and Marko Cinan have been arrested and charged with murder after a shooting in a parking lot left Anthony Sanders dead.
Since then, creators have been asked to leave by management, with Speed being the most notable.
