The Moonlit Forest on Starsand Island holds secrets beyond simple treasures like iron or magnetite. You might have already explored some of the many winding paths within it.
As you explore the Moonlit Forest, you’ll eventually come across a large bronze gate blocking your way forward. To open it, you’ll need a key that’s actually in two pieces.
Let’s break down how to open the Bronze Gate in Starsand Island by obtaining the Ruins Key.
Where is the Bronze Gate?

You’ll find the Bronze Gate in the Mural Valley, which is the sixth area you’ll come to as you explore the Moonlit Forest.
Once you arrive at the camp in Mural Valley, head up the stairs. You’ll find a large open space with a huge gate at the top – that’s the Bronze Gate.
Examining the Bronze Gate reveals it needs the Ruins Key to open. Unfortunately, this key is in two pieces – a left side and a right side. You’ll need to find both pieces to assemble the key and continue deeper into the forest.
Ruins Key (Right) Location
You won’t be able to continue through the Moonlit Forest past the Bronze Gate until you’ve finished a few quests for Zephyria. She’s the exploration trainer and will teach you essential skills, like how to make a bow and the fundamentals of fighting.
Okay, so you need to play through Zephyria’s story until you get the quest called “Become an Intermediate Explorer.” Once you accept that quest, she’ll give you half of the Ruins Key – the right side of it, to be exact.
This task also requires you to find one half of the key and use it to open the Bronze Gate within the Moonlit Forest.
Ruins Key (Left) Location
You can find the left side of the Ruins Key in a chest hidden within the Moonlit Forest. It appears during Zephyria’s quest for intermediate adventurers, specifically in the Mural Valley part of the forest.
Start at the Bronze Gate and run down the stairs as if heading towards the camp in Mural Valley. If you began the game in Mural Valley, simply stay near the camp for the next step.
Just ahead of the campsite, there’s a damaged stone bridge. It leads to a wooden platform which acts as an elevator, taking you down to the river below the cliff.

The elevator will take you to the bottom of the cliff. It usually starts moving after about 5 seconds.
Once the elevator arrives at the bottom, you’ll find a chest. Open it to get the left half of the Ruins Key.
You can create the key anywhere. If you have both parts of it, you’ll be able to open the Bronze Gate.
