His nephew, Glossu Rabban (played by Dave Bautista), is powerfully portrayed as volatile and enraged, which surprisingly adds depth given the otherwise controlled demeanor of those from Geidi Prime. Charlotte Rampling also excels as Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam, embodying a cold and hateful character with remarkable skill.

Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part One showcased Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya as they were becoming major stars, and the upcoming sequels are featuring even more prominent actors. In the sequel, Zendaya’s character has a significantly expanded role and is now portrayed as more inquisitive about Paul and skeptical of the prophecies surrounding him, thanks to rewrites that give her more depth.

Like the character in the book, she’s learning the ways of the Bene Gesserit while also doubting her father’s decisions regarding House Atreides, which will likely lead her to oppose them both. Christopher Walken plays Emperor Shaddam IV, portraying him as a somewhat unsteady ruler – a fitting representation of his crumbling empire. The film also features a brief appearance by Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, hinting at a larger role to come. Rounding out the impressive cast is Robert Pattinson as the villain Scytale, joining other rising stars like Tom Holland and completing a lineup of today’s most promising actors.
