
Fans can expect the third season of HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel series to premiere later this year. To get viewers ready, HBO Max is now offering a new way to watch the show, making it easier to access.
HBO Max is adding more content with American Sign Language (ASL) versions to make its shows and movies accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers. Starting May 1st with the film Wuthering Heights, and continuing on May 29th with House of the Dragon, several titles are getting the ASL treatment. Other recent additions include films like Sinners, Barbie, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, as well as popular TV series such as The Last of Us, IT: Welcome to Derry, DTF St. Louis, and The Pitt.
House of the Dragon Returns This Summer
New episodes of House of the Dragon are coming to HBO and HBO Max this summer. While Season 3 was originally planned for June, a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet. This season will be followed by one final season – Season 4 – which is expected in 2028. In the meantime, fans can also anticipate the next season of another Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which has been renewed.
HBO announced it’s renewing both House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms for the next three years, exciting fans of the Game of Thrones world. According to HBO, these shows demonstrate the incredible depth and creativity of George R.R. Martin’s universe. They believe viewers will love the compelling story of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, created by George Martin and Ira Parker. And this summer, House of the Dragon will return with even more spectacular battles.
Two Seasons Remain for House of the Dragon
Set nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon tells the story of the Targaryen family. The third season features a cast including Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, James Norton, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, and Gayle Rankin.
You can watch House of the Dragon on HBO Max. A version with American Sign Language will become available on May 22nd, and fans can expect Season 3 to be released soon.
