Google Cloud, a part of Alphabet Inc., is launching a $750 million fund to assist companies that help businesses implement and utilize AI agents in practical applications.
Summary
- Google Cloud launches a $750 million fund at Cloud Next 2026 to support consulting partners in developing and deploying agentic AI solutions, including funding for tools, training, and embedded engineering teams.
- The initiative expands access to Gemini Enterprise capabilities, early model testing, and enterprise-ready AI agents, with major firms like Accenture, Deloitte, and McKinsey involved.
- Separately, Google is exploring new AI chip designs with Marvell to improve model performance and compete with Nvidia, with a memory-focused processor and next-gen TPU in development.
Google announced a new program at its Cloud Next 2026 conference in Las Vegas to boost its network of partners. The program will provide funding, technical help, and specialized engineering support to companies – including consulting firms, systems integrators, and software vendors – that are helping customers implement AI solutions widely.
Google Cloud’s program will help organizations explore how to use AI, create and test AI-powered systems, and put those systems into practice. It will also provide funding to bring Google engineers directly into partner companies to help with challenging AI projects and offer training to their teams.
According to Kevin Ichhpurani, head of Google Cloud’s partner program, Google Cloud partners are already at the forefront of building and implementing AI agents, and they’re key to getting these technologies into the hands of customers. This additional investment will allow Google Cloud to provide more support and resources to help these partners assist their customers with adopting and using AI agents.
Partner ecosystem to gain tools, engineering support
As a researcher, I understand Google Cloud is launching a fund designed to help our partners go further with AI. It will allow them to get more involved in evaluating AI solutions, building quick prototypes, and fully integrating them into businesses. Essentially, we’re empowering our partners to deliver even more value to our clients by helping them navigate the complexities of AI implementation.
Some of the investment will fund new resources and programs, like evaluating the benefits of AI, testing out ideas with Gemini, and building best practices for Gemini Enterprise. Our partners will also get tools to quickly create AI prototypes, help with deployment, security checks powered by Wiz, and rewards for using these new technologies, all designed to encourage faster implementation.
The company will place its engineers directly within companies like Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, Devoteam, HCLTech, and TCS. These embedded teams will focus on helping customers implement AI solutions and resolve any technical issues that arise during large-scale deployments.
Meanwhile, several companies specializing in AI services are getting ready to offer support specifically for Gemini Enterprise. Quantium, a company based in Sydney, is one of them. They’ll receive resources like trial credits, training, and assistance to help them develop and test new AI-powered solutions.
Leading consulting firms like Accenture, Bain & Company, BCG, Deloitte, and McKinsey will get a first look at Gemini models. They’ll provide feedback to help improve the models before they’re released to the public.
This investment will help expand the availability of powerful, business-focused agents within Gemini Enterprise. These agents, created using the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, are built with strong security and governance features, allowing companies to quickly implement trusted solutions. We anticipate that offerings from leading companies like Adobe, Atlassian, Oracle, Palo Alto Networks, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Workday will be integrated into this system.
Before the event, Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian explained that the new announcements are the result of over a year of development focused on creating a technology foundation that’s prepared for AI agents.
According to Kurian, the focus with AI is shifting. Previously, people mainly used AI models to get answers to questions. Now, they’re increasingly asking models to *perform* tasks, which is being referred to as a move towards ‘AI agents’.
Chip development plans signal deeper AI push
As competition heats up in the AI technology space, Google is not only continuing to support its partners, but also strengthening its own hardware development.
Sources say the company is talking with Marvell Technology about creating two new chips to make AI models run more efficiently. One chip would work alongside Google’s existing processors to boost memory performance, and the other would be a more powerful, next-generation processor specifically designed for AI tasks.
This initiative is Google’s way of offering its own chips as a competitor to the popular GPUs made by Nvidia. As more people start using Google’s TPUs, it’s already boosting revenue for Google Cloud, proving that Google’s investments in AI technology are paying off.
The report indicates Google aims to finish designing its new memory-focused chip by next year, and then begin testing production. To meet the growing need for AI processing power, Google is also working more closely with semiconductor companies like Intel and Broadcom.
