As a history buff, I always remember learning about the Gallipoli Campaign – it was a really tough moment for Winston Churchill and considered a big mistake during World War I. And now, get this – that same historical conflict is being turned into a video game! I’m excited to experience that battle as a digital warzone.
BlackMill Games has revealed that WW1: Gallipoli, the newest game in the realistic shooter series featuring Verdun and Isonzo, will be released on May 21, 2026. That means it’s coming out next month!
Honoring Anzac Day with a Release Date

A new trailer has been released before Anzac Day (April 25th) to celebrate the game’s upcoming launch and its historical roots. Anzac Day is a day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, marking 111 years since the Gallipoli landings and honoring all those who have served in conflicts and peacekeeping efforts.
The new trailer shows exciting gameplay footage of soldiers storming the difficult beaches of Anzac Cove. You can watch it below.
The developers of Gallipoli announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the game will be released on May 21st. They’ve dedicated the release date trailer to honoring Anzac Day and remembering those who lost their lives at Anzac Cove.
In WW1: Gallipoli, players experience a key battle of the First World War, shifting the conflict to the Middle East. You can play as either the Ottoman Empire or the British forces. Like previous games in the series – Verdun, Tannenberg, and Isonzo – this game focuses on recreating a realistic and historically accurate experience.
BlackMill Games has officially announced that WW1: Gallipoli […] will launch on May 21, 2026
BlackMill Games has previously stated their goal is to create a more detailed and authentic depiction of the conflict. Players can anticipate challenging, realistic gameplay set in a variety of locations – from beach assaults and destroyed cities to harsh desert sandstorms – as they battle for control of key desert areas.
The First World War strategy game, Gallipoli, is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Plus, you can currently get big discounts on Verdun and Isonzo until Saturday.
