Good news for fans of Friday the 13th: one of the people who originally made the movies has announced that a new film is being planned.
Sean Cunningham, one of the original creators of Friday the 13th, has revealed plans for a new film that aims to recapture the feel of the classic movies. He told TMZ that the recent combination of Warner Bros. and Paramount is a positive step for the project. The main obstacle to getting a new film made had been the split ownership of the Friday the 13th rights between the two studios, but that issue is now expected to be resolved.
