Freshly unveiled illustrations, titled “Galactus concept art,” from the movie “The Fantastic Four: First Footsteps” depict him entering Earth reminiscent of the Death Star, a massive structure. In the Marvel Comics Universe’s Earth-828, Galactus, portrayed by Ralph Ineson, lands on our planet to seize Franklin Richards and confronts the Fantastic Four. The cinematic adventure “The Fantastic Four: First Footsteps” premiered in theaters in July 2025 and has amassed over $500 million at box offices worldwide.
Unused Fantastic Four idea for Galactus’s arrival on Earth-828
Lately, new artwork depicting Galactus’ arrival on Earth-828, as depicted in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has been shared on various social media platforms. Thomas du Crest posted images that show Galactus’ landing vessel appearing majestic amidst Earth’s skies.
In a post on Instagram, Du Crest shared that he had the opportunity to design a specific aspect of the Fantastic Four under the guidance of Kas Farahani. This element was none other than the ship Galactus uses to reach Earth! Although its screen time is brief in the movie, considerable work went into incorporating ‘Death Star-like‘ features while maintaining an impressive silhouette. The design of Galactus itself was brilliantly executed by Ryan Meinerding.
The first user expressed their appreciation for the movie, saying “The best idea in the film, hands down. Outstanding work on the scale.” Another Instagram user was impressed and commented, “Impressive! I need to rewatch the movie to catch all of it, as it’s over so quickly, but kudos on the excellent scale.” Yet another fan praised the design of Galactus’ spaceship by saying, “I adore how you combined Giger’s machine style with Jack Kirby’s designs. Excellent work!
