A false emergency call led to the evacuation of a crowded Los Angeles nightclub during a birthday party for streamer Zavala. Hundreds of people had to leave the building due to the hoax.
Okay, so here’s what happened. It was my birthday – I turned 22 – and I was throwing a party at Los Globos nightclub. Things were going great, super energetic, but then everything went crazy. The police got a call about a possible bomb at the venue, and things just spiraled from there.
Police responded to reports of something suspicious at the club and immediately started evacuating the building and the area around it. Hundreds of people inside were safely removed as authorities investigated, treating the situation as a possible emergency.
Okay, so the police did a full sweep and thankfully confirmed it was all a false alarm. Turns out someone ‘swatted’ us – that’s when a troll makes a fake emergency call to get a huge police response sent to your place. Super scary when it happens, but thankfully it was just a hoax this time.

Streamer’s birthday ends in chaos after being swatted at club
So far, no arrests have been made, and investigators have yet to identify a suspect.
Police reported no serious injuries during the evacuation response, but one person needed medical care after being hurt in a fight that broke out during the process.
This is the second time in recent weeks that streamer Zavala has been the target of a ‘swatting’ incident. In March, someone falsely reported an armed threat during a livestream at a California mall, causing a lockdown while police responded.
Online creators, especially popular streamers, are increasingly facing ‘swatting’ – false reports made to emergency services. Because authorities must take every report seriously, these hoaxes can quickly become dangerous for everyone involved, including the person targeted and those nearby.

Last month, Kick star N3on was detained by police after he was swatted during a live broadcast.
In 2025, a Fortnite player was accidentally subjected to a swatting incident. He had mistakenly called 911 while playing an intense game, which led to police being dispatched to his home.
After a harmful prank, FBI director Kash Patel vowed to aggressively pursue and prosecute individuals who make false emergency reports – often called ‘swatting’ – and ensure they face consequences.
