Domino’s unleashes Kaiju-sized “Ultra Cheese” pizza

Domino’s Japan is launching a promotion that starts online and through their app from April 24th to 26th. Starting April 27th, customers can also order by phone or in person at stores.

The Nearly 1kg Ultra Cheese costs ¥3,450 (around $21.60 USD) for pickup and ¥6,900 ($43.21) for delivery. You can get the Nearly 1kg karaage for ¥2,399, and the Nearly 1kg potato wedges are ¥1,499, which is approximately $9.40 USD.

The pizza chain says their pizzas have “nearly” a kilogram of cheese because the weight decreases a little bit during baking. They start with around 1kg of cheese before it goes in the oven.

However, the most striking feature is definitely the enormous cheese topping. With over two pounds of cheese, it’s more like a food challenge than just a pizza!

Domino’s isn’t alone in offering larger sizes recently. McDonald’s Japan has also introduced a “Grand” size for their fries, which is even bigger than their usual large portion.

IKEA responded to Costco’s famously large hot dog by introducing its own massive version, measuring 20 inches long.
