Control Resonant Developer Diary goes over Remedy’s twisted version of Manhattan

Remedy Entertainment released a new developer diary detailing the unique and distorted version of Manhattan featured in the upcoming Control expansion, Resonant.

This is the third development update for Control Resonant. In case you missed it, the game will fully support the latest Nvidia RTX technologies, like RTX Mega Geometry, Ray Reconstruction, and DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. Control Resonant is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store) later this year.

Remedy has released a new developer diary for Control Resonant, along with the previous two and additional information. You can find everything here:

At gamescom Latin America today, Remedy Entertainment and Creative Director Mikael Kasurinen shared a new developer diary and details about CONTROL Resonant, the sequel to the award-winning game CONTROL. The new video offers a look at the strange and distorted version of Manhattan featured in the game, and shows how the development team built a world beyond the Oldest House.

According to Elmeri Raitanen, Art Director of CONTROL Resonant, the Oldest House feels as distinct from typical office buildings as the game’s Manhattan feels from a normal city. After years of focusing on the stark concrete of the Oldest House, the team is ready for a change of scenery.

According to Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of CONTROL Resonant, the game offers exciting, otherworldly action within a large and dynamic environment where player choices have real impact. He expressed excitement about showcasing the newest update at gamescom LatAm, bringing it to fans in Brazil and globally.

Remedy Entertainment is developing and will publish CONTROL Resonant. Annapurna Pictures is partnering with Remedy to help fund and produce the game. It’s planned for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (through Steam and the Epic Games Store), Mac (via Steam and the App Store), and GeForce NOW.
