The movie Normal, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2025 and was released nationwide last weekend, has brought in $2.55 million so far. While not a huge sum, considering it cost $3 million to make, the film has a chance to earn more money over time. However, it’s understandable why Magnolia Pictures is quickly making it available for rental on demand through streaming services.

Lee Falk’s The Phantom was the very first costumed superhero, becoming a symbol of jungle adventure alongside characters like Tarzan. It essentially created the model for comic book heroes of that time, with its unique costume, detailed backstory, and fictional world. If a new series stays true to the original comic strip, King Features could potentially bring back live-action adventure stories, and a contemporary hero of The Phantom would be a logical next project.

This week’s episode really drove home how important the casting is in The Handmaid’s Tale. Seeing actresses like Chase Infiniti (Agnes, 25) and Lucy Halliday (Daisy, 22) portray these young girls… it’s a stark reminder of just how young they are supposed to be. The show asks us to believe these girls are destined to marry these older Commanders, and frankly, it’s unsettling. Trying to picture Agnes or Daisy as actual teenagers – awkward, with braces, dealing with typical teen issues – makes the ‘Ball’ scene almost unbearable. As it is, it’s incredibly difficult to watch, and the age dynamic feels…off. It’s a tough watch, and the casting choices highlight that tension.

Even though Prime Video will still offer hit shows like Reacher and Invincible now that The Boys is finished, it also needs to look ahead and develop new series. Fortunately, some recent additions and upcoming 2026 releases are already gaining popularity with viewers worldwide.

Breaking Bad wasn’t just a good idea well-executed; it consistently maintained a high level of quality from beginning to end. The finale was particularly strong, and while it’s hard to top, only a handful of shows have had even more satisfying conclusions.

Danny Boyle and Alex Garland, the team behind the hit film 28 Days Later and its follow-ups, created another standout movie called Sunshine. Featuring a fantastic cast including Chris Evans, Cillian Murphy, and Michelle Yeoh, Sunshine is currently available to stream online for free, but only for a limited time!

According to PopVerse, DC Comics’ Absolute Batman collection, created by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta, has achieved a significant sales milestone. It has outsold Snyder’s earlier Batman run from the New 52 era, despite the impressive performance of that series – Batman #1 sold over 225,000 copies in 2011, and every issue consistently sold at least 100,000 copies.

As a fan, it was really upsetting to hear production on the show had to stop back in March. It all started when Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, were being investigated for domestic assault. Then, an old video of Taylor throwing chairs – with her child present – came out, and Hulu actually pulled the season she filmed for The Bachelorette just days before it was supposed to air. Thankfully, the police have now said they won’t be pressing charges against Taylor, which is a huge relief. While Hulu hasn’t announced who will be on the next season yet, I’m hopeful this means Taylor might still have a chance to be part of it. Things are definitely looking better for her every day, and I’m glad to see her potentially getting a path back to TV.

I just saw the first trailer for Coyote vs. Acme, and it looks like Wile E. might actually have a chance! It’s amazing to think that Warner Bros. supposedly wanted to shelve the movie. But honestly, I’m starting to wonder if it was actually Acme Corporation trying to bury it – they clearly don’t want anyone to see how they treat guys like Wile E.! It’s a really fun take on the classic cartoon.
