On January 31, 2026, heavyweight boxer Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller became a viral sensation when a punch from Kingsley Ibeh dislodged his hairpiece during a fight at Madison Square Garden.
Jarrell Miller returned to Madison Square Garden after a long time away from the ring. It was his first fight at the venue since a 2019 title fight against Anthony Joshua was called off due to a failed drug test. Saturday night’s fight was meant to be a fresh start for Miller, but it didn’t go as planned.
Okay, so I was watching this fight, and it was wild! Around the middle of round two, Ibeh landed a right uppercut on Miller, and it actually knocked Miller’s hairpiece loose! Seriously, it started flapping around, and you could see he was bald underneath. He tried to keep it on for the rest of the round, but then, as soon as the bell rang, he just ripped it off and chucked it into the crowd! It was a pretty crazy moment, honestly.

Boxer has hairpiece punched off mid fight
A hairpiece unexpectedly became the center of attention at the boxing match. Fabio Wardley, the WBO heavyweight champion, picked it up and shared a video of it, promising to keep it safe. Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC, and boxer Skye Nicolson were also photographed with the unusual item.
Following the match, Miller explained what happened with his hair. He said he’d accidentally used ammonia bleach instead of shampoo two days before while visiting his mother, causing him to lose his hair. He had to quickly find a hairpiece to wear during the fight.

I was watching the post-fight interview, and Miller said something that really stuck with me. He explained that as a comedian, you have to be able to laugh at yourself. And he was super relieved that Ibeh put a stop to whatever was going on – he basically said Ibeh ‘knocked that sh*t off,’ which was a pretty funny way to put it!
Okay, so Miller won, but it wasn’t a clear win – the judges had it a split decision! Two of them scored it 97-93 for him, but one had it closer at 96-94 for Ibeh. It was awesome to see him back in the ring after being out for 17 months, and now his record is 27 wins, 1 loss, and 2 draws. Unfortunately, that snapped Ibeh’s impressive 11-fight win streak. Still, a win is a win, and I’m glad Miller got it!

Okay, so after all that craziness, Miller actually embraced the whole thing online. He posted this hilarious AI-made video of himself cruising in a convertible, hair blowing everywhere – basically turning that super weird boxing moment into a joke. It was a really clever way to own it, honestly.
