Battlefield 6 is coming out in just a few days! Electronic Arts has announced when the game will be available in different parts of the world, and players who pre-ordered it can start downloading it early.
Battlefield 6 – release time and preload
As a huge Battlefield fan, I’m so excited to hear that everyone – whether you’re on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X/S – will be able to jump into the new game, *Battlefield 6*, on the very same day! No more waiting to see what other platforms get it first – it’s a level playing field for all of us!
The developers announced that the preload is now live! If you pre-ordered the game, you can download it now and get ready to play when it releases.
Okay, so everyone’s excited about preloading *Battlefield 6*, but it’s a bit frustrating for those of us who bought it on the Epic Games Store. It took Epic seven years to *finally* add preloading, and even then, we still have to wait until launch day to actually download the game. It’s a little disappointing, honestly!

Covert operations
EA revealed a bunch of free updates coming to Battlefield 6 in Season 1, including new maps, game modes, and weapons. But it looks like there are also a few unannounced surprises headed our way!
I was reading MP1st, and they noticed something really interesting! Apparently, EA’s emails to players hint at “covert operations” being added with Season 1. Sounds like we might have some sneaky new stuff to look forward to!

It’s unclear exactly what “covert operations” are. While it sounds like a new game mode, it could also be referring to daily or weekly challenges players can complete.
The email also stated that the next *Battlefield* game could run at up to 120 frames per second on consoles. While that sounds amazing, it’s likely achievable – the beta version already hit around 110 fps on the standard PlayStation 5. The developers may have improved performance even further since then.
