Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced shocks fans with $200 Collector’s Edition

I’m so excited! Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is officially coming out on July 9th, which isn’t too far away. The only problem? They’ve announced a collector’s edition that costs $200! I’m going to have to seriously think about whether it’s worth the splurge.

Everyone expected this remake – the developers even jokingly called it gaming’s worst-kept secret! Rumors started circulating back in January 2026, and even a curious listing on Vinted for a statue that’s now part of the game’s special Collector’s Edition hinted at its arrival.

The collector’s edition includes a statue and both physical and digital goodies, but it’s quite expensive at $200.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Collectors Edition & Launch Edition revealed

According to a leak from billbil_kun on X, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be available in two versions. The standard Launch Edition will cost $59.99, £49.99, or €59.99, while a Collector’s Edition will be priced at $199.99, £174.99, or €199.99.

The collectors’ edition should come with the following:

  • A world map
  • Notebook
  • Steelbook case
  • Digital Costumes for Edward
  • A ship pet and skin
  • Blackbeard skin
  • A Skull pin
  • Edward Kenway sitting on treasure statue

We’re excited to announce the prices for the physical versions of the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Collector’s Edition! The Launch Edition will cost $59.99 (or €59.99 / £49.99), while the Collector’s Edition will be priced at $199.99 (or €199.99 / £174.99). Both editions will be available on July 9, 2026.

The game’s price has sparked debate among fans. Many have questioned the need for separate collector’s and deluxe editions of a game that’s already been released, suggesting a single, all-inclusive edition priced around €39-49 would be more reasonable.

Many players expressed disappointment with the price of the game. One commenter said $60 for a remastered version of a 13-year-old game, especially with content missing, was too expensive. Another said £50 for a remake was also too much, stating they’d consider buying it if it cost between £25 and £40, and would wait for a sale instead.

So, I just watched the Black Flag Resynced showcase, and it looks amazing! They’re completely overhauling a bunch of the missions, adding some cool new gameplay stuff, and – get this – even more sea shanties! Seriously, more shanties to sing along to while I’m sailing the improved seas? Count me in!
