I just got done playing in the Arc Raiders Server Slam, and wow, it was massive! Embark Studios really opened things up before the game officially launches on October 30th. They got a ton of feedback from players like me, and now they’ve shared some of the things they’re working on to improve the game before release. It’s great to see they’re listening!
The game’s developer explained that feedback from players, combined with their own data, gave them valuable information on how to make Arc Raiders better before it officially releases. Here’s a summary of the main points, according to the developer.
- Stability: You helped us quickly identify and resolve stability issues across all platforms during the test. We’ve locked in even more solutions leading up to launch day to ensure a smooth launch experience.
- The Flying ARCs: It turns out their awareness was a bit too high, allowing them to essentially see through trees and bushes. This made their vision unintentionally over-powered, but we’ve adjusted what they can see now, so expect a fairer fight at launch.
- The Dam Tower: We watched many of you bravely, and perhaps a little too easily, access the Dam Control Tower on Dam Battlegrounds. It was fun to watch, but a bit too accessible for a key loot location. That’s been fixed to keep the challenge sharp.
- Visual Difference: Some noticed a visual difference between Server Slam and earlier tests on certain hardware. The default settings did change a bit to favor more performance, and we are looking into tuning further to strike the right balance.
Embark also shared that the recent test provided valuable insights for improving the game, specifically with bug fixes and balancing gameplay. The developer stated that all the feedback and data received is being used to make Arc Raiders a better experience.
The developers revealed some impressive stats from the game’s test phase: players completed over 30 million rounds, obliterated 58 million Arcs, and, most fun of all, gathered more than 800,000 rubber ducks!

Arc Raiders will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC starting October 30th, and it costs $40. Before you play, TopMob has a list of 15 helpful tips to get you prepared.
