You’re nearing the end of Dispatch! If you’re deciding whether to give Shroud the Astral Pulse, the Prototype, or both, you’re close to finishing the game. Episode 8 is the final chapter of this story, though we may continue it in a future season. We’re here to help you achieve the best possible ending.

Give Astral Pulse, Prototype or both to Shroud in Dispatch

This decision is tricky and really depends on how close you are with Invisigal. But there’s still a right answer. If you want to avoid spoilers, choose the option where you give him both pieces of information. That’s generally the best approach. See below for a more detailed explanation of what happens with each choice.

  1. Give him the Astral Pulse – If you pick this option, Shroud will use the Pulse.
  2. Give him both – you will do something unexpected: Shroud will be puzzled and others will be impressed by your choice. It is the “coolest” move you can do. Shroud will pick the wrong Pulse and start vomiting, his soldiers too.
  3. Give him the prototype – Shroud will know about the trick and will demand the real Pulse. So, you will give it to him anyway.

No matter what you choose, the result will be the same. Be warned – spoilers follow!

If you’ve maintained a good relationship with Invisigal, treating her kindly by not harming or restraining her, Shroud will attempt to kill you but will also protect you from the bullet (she’ll be okay!). You’ll then win in a physical fight against him and get to decide what happens to him – whether he lives or dies.

If you don’t build a strong enough connection with Invisigal, she’ll turn against you, ultimately killing Shroud. She’ll then give you the Astral Pulse before leaving, and it’s suggested she’s destined to become the new leader of the Red Ring.
