Backbone has released a new version of its popular smartphone controller, called the Backbone Pro: Xbox Edition. It costs $180, which is $10 more than the standard Backbone Pro, and is available now at stores like Amazon and Best Buy, as well as on Backbone’s website. As a bonus, the controller comes with a one-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, letting you play games like The Outer Worlds 2 and other popular titles through Xbox Cloud Gaming.
According to Steve Petite, the Backbone One was already a top-rated mobile controller, but the new Backbone Pro is even better. It offers significant improvements in comfort, how customizable it is, and how well it works with the Backbone app for launching games.
Backbone has been releasing different versions of its mobile controllers all year. Last month, they announced a special limited-edition controller designed for the game Death Stranding 2. For those who prefer a softer look, Backbone offers controllers in pink and purple. If you’re looking for a more affordable option – the standard Backbone One – and don’t need all the features of the higher-end Pro model, you can find it in black and white for $100.
