Okay, so I’ve been playing The Outer Worlds 2, and Arcadia is full of puzzles, big and small. I want to tell you about one I found in the Alexandra Monastery that was seriously cool. It’s all about paying attention to details and knowing the different planets and stars in this game’s solar system – you really need to think about the constellations to solve it!
How to solve the solar system model puzzle?

While exploring the Alexandra Monastery in the Golden Ridge region, you’ll come across a puzzle involving a planetary system. After defeating enemies in the courtyard and ringing the bells, you’ll unlock a new room on the eastern side of the monastery. Inside, to the right as you enter, you’ll find a terminal requesting a three-digit code.

The combination is revealed in a note with instructions found close by. The note reads as follows:
- The first digit corresponds to the number of moons of Elysium.
- The second digit is the number of moons between Dorado and Elysium.
- The third digit is the number of rotations Eden makes around Elysium before Praetor and Cloister complete one rotation around the planet.
To solve the astronomy puzzle, head to the courtyard in front of the building and find the mechanical model of a planet and its moons.

Carefully examine the model, remembering the clues provided. The diagram above will guide you in finding the correct parts within the system.
- Elysium is the largest model, around which 4 moons orbit.
- Dorado is the orange-green moon. Between it and the planet, there is only one celestial body – the tiny Eden.
- Praetor and Cloister are the planet’s farthest moons, whose full rotation takes quite a long time. Meanwhile, the small Eden is able to orbit Elysium up to 4 times.
You can see how everything connects by looking at the moving model. Once you understand these connections, go back to the puzzle terminal and enter the code: 4-1-4.

If you enter the correct combination, it will open the passage to the right of the terminal. Inside, you’ll discover a safe containing a large sum of money and a Pitchball Card featuring Feargus Urquhart. This collectible permanently increases your stats, specifically boosting your damage by 1%.
