What time is Pluribus Episode 1 out? Apple release schedule explained

Pluribus is a new show created by Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad. Here’s a guide to when and where you can watch it.

Pluribus is a thought-provoking drama series bringing together Vince Gilligan (creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul) and Rhea Seehorn, who starred in Better Call Saul. Unlike Gilligan’s previous work focused on crime, this new show explores science fiction themes.

With such a talented team working on it, both on and off screen, we think Pluribus is going to be your new favorite show to stream.

You can start watching Pluribus very soon! It premieres this week, and you’ll find release information and details about the show’s intriguing story below.

Pluribus release date & time

Pluribus is expected to debut at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Friday, November 7, 2025, on Apple TV.

This is how the streaming service usually releases its original shows and movies. Release times will vary depending on where you are in the world, so you can figure out when to watch based on your time zone. Here are some specific times to help you plan:

  • 8pm CT
  • 11pm Brazil
  • 2am UK (November 8)
  • 4am CEST
  • 7:30am India Standard Time
  • 11:30am Australia
  • 1pm New Zealand

How many episodes are there?

So, Season 1 has nine episodes, which is cool, but here’s the best part: Apple really loved the show and immediately ordered two more seasons! It’s not just a one-and-done thing, thankfully. I’m super excited to see where they take the story now.

The first episode of Season 1, titled ‘We is Us,’ centers around an astronomer’s groundbreaking discovery that dramatically changes life on Earth. It introduces Carol Sturka, a grumpy novelist, who is deeply unsettled by this new reality.

The second episode of Season 2, ‘Pirate Lady,’ features a mysterious, recognizable person who helps Carol adjust to this strange new world. A meeting in Europe brings together a diverse group of people, but also creates tension and conflict.

What is Pluribus about?

Pluribus centers around a deeply unhappy woman who unexpectedly becomes the key to saving the world – from too much happiness. Actress Mary Elizabeth Seehorn plays Carol Sturka, a writer who wakes up one day to find that everyone around her is suddenly determined to make her happy, resulting in a strangely peaceful and kind world.

I’ve been thinking about that story a lot, and it feels like Vince Gilligan is really reflecting what he sees happening in the world right now. He actually told ScreenRant he wonders if, in a way, things wouldn’t be so bad, maybe even good – a kind of paradise. But he leaves it totally up to us, the audience, to decide if that’s true or not, which I think is brilliant.

I’m not going to explain how to interpret this, but I hope it makes people consider that there might be alternatives to the current situation in America.

Ultimately, what viewers get out of the show is up to their own interpretation. As the creator explains, “It’s just TV – it’s not meant to solve the world’s problems. But I hope people watch and consider what kind of world they want to live in. We put a lot of effort into making this apocalypse story unique.”

The new series, Pluribus, premieres on Friday, November 7th. Here are some other highly-rated TV shows you can enjoy this month, and a look at the best TV shows of 2025 up to this point.
