The strategy game Dispatch launched last week, blending adventure with the exciting job of coordinating superheroes in modern Los Angeles. The game is proving to be a hit, and the developers at AdHoc studio have good reason to celebrate.
- The devs proudly announced that Dispatch has sold over a million copies. This milestone was achieved ten days after its release.
- While sharing this news, the creators joked that it would be amazing to say the game sold 80 million copies in two days, but selling a million in ten days is still pretty impressive.
Dispatch launched on October 22. The game is available only on PC and PlayStation 5.
High ratings and big player activity on Steam
Industry experts generally praised the game. The PC version currently has an average score of 84% on Metacritic, and players seem to love it too. It boasts a 93% positive rating on Steam, and users have given it an average of 4.95 out of 5 stars on the PlayStation Store.
I was really impressed by how many people are playing this game! I checked Steam and saw that just a few days ago, almost 66,000 people were playing at the same time – that’s amazing!
