In The Outer Worlds 2, repeatedly performing an action will eventually unlock a character flaw. This flaw comes with both permanent benefits and drawbacks – it’s a trade-off. You can’t get the benefit without also accepting the negative side effect for the entire game.

Should You Take Flaws In The Outer Worlds 2?
You Can Avoid Them Or Take A Few To Be Safe
In The Outer Worlds 2, the character flaws you choose have lasting consequences, so you’ll need to adapt your gameplay to manage them. For example, choosing a flaw like ‘Bad Knees’ for a stealth-focused character could create difficulties later on. Once you pick a flaw, you can’t undo it, meaning you’ll have to live with its effects throughout the entire game, from the beginning on Paradise Island to the very end.
We suggest trying out one or two flaws to see how they change the game. However, don’t pick too many at once! You’ll discover more flaws as you play, and you can always decide later if you want to keep them or not.
If you see a flaw prompt, don’t rush your decision. Carefully consider what your creation is meant to do well, and where it struggles. Then, decide if taking the flaw is the right move.
Ultimately, create the experience you desire in The Outer Worlds 2 and enjoy yourself. It’s probably a good idea to save your progress often, just in case!
