
Isabelle Tate, an actress who appeared in the first episode of 9-1-1: Nashville, passed away on October 19th at the age of 23, according to her representatives. She had a rare condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, which affects the nerves. Her agency announced the news on Instagram on October 21st, saying they were “deeply saddened and heartbroken.” They shared that they had known Isabelle since she was a teenager and that she had recently returned to acting, landing a role in 9-1-1 Nashville after her first audition. Beyond acting, Isabelle graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a business degree and enjoyed volunteering with animals.
Hunter McVey, who worked with Isabelle Tate on an episode of 9-1-1: Nashville that aired on October 9th, shared his sadness after hearing of her passing. McVey played a character who received a lap dance from Tate’s character, Julie, in the episode. He told People magazine that he hadn’t known Tate before filming, but she was a wonderful colleague. He recalled being nervous on his first day and how Tate always offered encouraging words after each take. He described her as having a joyful energy and said he was grateful for the chance to work with her, adding that her performance will remain a part of the 9-1-1 Nashville pilot forever.
