‘His & Hers’ With Tessa Thompson & Jon Bernthal Gets Netflix First Look

Netflix has revealed details about its upcoming mystery thriller, *His & Hers*. The six-episode series is based on the novel by Alice Feeney and stars Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal, both known for their roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The story centers on Anna Andrews, a former news anchor who becomes fascinated with solving a murder in her hometown. Her investigation catches the attention of Jack Harper, a local detective who begins to suspect she might be involved.

Anna Thompson, a former news anchor, is living a secluded life in hot Atlanta, distancing herself from friends and her career. When she hears about a murder in her quiet hometown of Dahlonega, in north Georgia, she’s driven to investigate. However, Detective Jack Bernthal becomes wary of her involvement, and she finds herself a suspect in his investigation.

As a mystery fan, I’m already hooked by this show! It’s being billed as a ‘He Said, She Said’ story, but trust me, there’s a whole lot more going on than just two perspectives. The cast is fantastic too – Pablo Schreiber, who I loved in *Halo*, plays a news cameraman, and Crystal Fox (*Big Little Lies*) is playing the mother of one of the main characters. We’ve also got Sunita Mani (*Mr. Robot*) as a colleague, Rebecca Rittenhouse (*The Mindy Project*) as a news anchor, Marin Ireland (*The Umbrella Academy*) as a housemate, and Poppy Liu (*Hacks*) as the headmistress of the school where things kick off. It sounds like everyone’s a potential suspect!

Tessa Thompson (known for her role as Valkyrie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) and Jon Bernthal (famous for playing the Punisher) are the focus of the first released images from the upcoming series, *His & Hers*. The photos show Anna and Jack sizing each other up, Anna reading, Jack in a wooded area, Anna investigating a crime scene, and Jack at work. These glimpses offer a preview of the thrilling and suspenseful series, directed by William Oldroyd, before it premieres on January 8, 2026.
