Chained Echoes for Switch is getting a new physical Complete Edition release

Deck13, Matthias Linda’s Umami Tiger studio, and Super Rare Games are releasing a physical copy of Chained Echoes for the Nintendo Switch. This version includes both the full game and the Ashes of Elrant DLC on one game cartridge.

Both versions of the game will be available from these two locations, and shipping is planned for September. Originally, physical copies of Chained Echoes were going to be handled by First Press Games, but Matthias Linda recently announced they’ve ended that partnership, with details available here. Along with this news, Deck13 and Matthias Linda have a message for fans.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that Chained Echoes and its new DLC, Ashes of Elrant, are officially out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam! If you’re curious about the main game, you can check out Adam’s review right here.

You can find the message from Deck13 and Matthias Linda alongside the announcement for the physical release below:

A Message from the Deck13 and Matthias Linda:

We have some exciting news! We’ve partnered with Super Rare Games to release a physical version of Chained Echoes for Nintendo Switch. It will be available in both standard and deluxe editions.

Super Rare Games is known for delivering great Nintendo Switch titles, and we’re confident in their reliable shipping and support. We trust they’ll ensure a smooth ordering process for everyone this time.

We know that many kickstarter backers of the game have been waiting for the physical editions they originally supported. To honour that commitment, eligible Kickstarter backers who pledged for a physical copy will receive the game at no additional cost. We will be contacting affected backers directly with further details on how this process will work.

While we’re pleased to be able to support Kickstarter backers, we’re unfortunately unable to assist with purchases made through First Press Games. Any enquiries relating to those orders will need to be directed to First Press Games directly.

A limited number of copies will be available for pre-order through Super Rare Games, and are expected to ship in September.

Thank you for sticking with us and being so patient. We’re thrilled to finally be able to send you these physical copies after such a long delay.
