Hound13 will be releasing a playable demo of their game, DragonSword: Awakening, on Steam for PC. Players in Western regions can try it from June 4th to 23rd, while those in Asia-Pacific will have access from June 5th to 24th. This demo will only be available for a limited time.
This demo offers about 1 to 2 hours of gameplay. You’ll be able to experience the first chapter of the game’s main story, which has a total of 8 chapters, and try out 9 of the 19 characters you can play as in the full game.
The demo will work on the Steam Deck, though it hasn’t been officially confirmed as fully compatible yet. Just so you know, any progress you make in the demo won’t carry over to the full game when it launches.
Here’s the announcement for the DragonSword: Awakening demo. The demo will be fully dubbed and subtitled in Korean, and will include English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles. When the full game launches, it will also support subtitles in French, German, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Thai.

We’re releasing this demo alongside the press preview for the upcoming Steam Next Fest, so everyone can try it out at the same time! This gives you a first look at the world of Orbis before Next Fest officially begins.
📅 Demo Schedule
- Launch: June 5, 02:00 (KST) / June 4, 10:00 AM (PT)
- End: June 24, 02:00 (KST) / June 23, 10:00 AM (PT)
- Availability: Limited window of approximately 19 days
⚠️ The demo will be deactivated when Steam Next Fest ends. Be sure to play it within this window.
