Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke dead at 29

Brandon Clarke passed away at the age of 29, his agency announced on May 12th.

So, I’ve been following this Grizzlies player for a while now – he just finished his seventh season with the team! It’s pretty cool because they drafted him back in 2019 – he was the 21st pick overall, and he’s been a Grizzly ever since, coming straight out of Gonzaga.

Clarke joined the NBA after playing college basketball at both San Jose State and Gonzaga. He made an immediate impact with the Memphis Grizzlies, being named to the NBA All-Rookie team and averaging 12.1 points and 5.9 rebounds in his first season – the best numbers of his career so far.
