CD Projekt RED is expanding its development teams as they work on the next Witcher game and a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. Recently, they hired Zdeněk Glatz, a designer and writer from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Glatz announced the news on LinkedIn, stating he had joined the company.
I was really excited to hear that Daniel Glatz, who spent eight years at Warhorse Studios working on Kingdom Come: Deliverance and the next game, is now joining CD Projekt RED! He was a senior game designer, writer, and lead level designer at Warhorse, and now he’s taking on the role of senior open world designer. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he brings to their future projects.
It’s worth noting that the position Glatz is taking is similar to one CD Projekt RED was advertising as early as December 2025. They were also looking for people to fill roles like Game Capture Lead, Lead VFX Artist, and Senior VFX Artist, along with several other positions.
CD Projekt RED continues to expand its development team. In February, Lucie Hennet, a former animator known for her work on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, joined the Warsaw studio where The Witcher 4 is being developed.
Hennet shared that at Sandfall Interactive, she primarily focused on improving and polishing motion capture data for bodies and faces. This involved processing data from Xsense and transferring it into UE5. She also assisted during motion capture sessions and helped create the animation process for cinematic cutscenes.
In December 2025, Felix Pedulla joined CD Projekt RED after working as a senior cinematic designer at Larian Studios, the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3. Pedulla is a well-established professional in the gaming industry, with previous experience at Crytek where he contributed to cinematics for games like Hunt: Showdown.
After six fantastic years working with the wonderful team at Larian Studios, I’m moving on to a new opportunity,” Pedulla announced. “I’m incredibly thankful for all the creative, memorable, and often chaotic moments we experienced together. We accomplished something special, and I’ll always treasure the lessons I learned and the friendships I made. Thank you to everyone for being such amazing colleagues and friends.
I’m so excited to share some huge news! One chapter is closing, and a brand new adventure is starting – I’m officially joining CD Projekt Red as a Senior Cinematic Designer! It’s always been a dream of mine to work with such a talented and ambitious studio. I’m trading in my D&D dice from Baldur’s Gate for some Polish steel and can’t wait to start creating some amazing cutscenes!
CD Projekt RED has been steadily developing several projects behind the scenes. Although a release date for The Witcher 4 hasn’t been announced, co-CEO Michał Nowakowski has confirmed that the game is still planned, along with two additional sequels, to be released over the next six years.
“I do believe that further games should be delivered in a shorter period of time – as we had stated before, our plan still is to launch the whole trilogy within a six-year period, so yes, that would mean we would plan to have a shorter development time between The Witcher 4 and The Witcher 5, between The Witcher 5 and The Witcher 6 and so on,” he said on the subject of development times for CD Projekt’s games getting “shorter and more predictable” in their cadence.
