YouTube channel of “AI slop” has videos glitch into complete meltdown

A YouTube channel creating videos with AI-generated commentary is gaining popularity, but viewers have noticed the AI sometimes malfunctions and begins speaking gibberish.

AI-generated content is everywhere on social media these days. From X (formerly Twitter) with its Grok feature, to Meta’s AI app, and countless videos on YouTube using AI-created visuals and voiceovers, it’s becoming increasingly common.

AI-generated content is now common on many channels, and it’s often difficult to tell what’s real and what’s not.

Recently, many YouTube viewers have discovered a channel called Joe Liza WWE that’s posting videos created using artificial intelligence. These videos, which vary in length from short clips to longer programs, often feature completely fabricated storylines and events.

“AI slop” videos break AI-generated voiceover

According to Futurism, this channel has existed since 2007, but viewers have recently pointed out that the AI-generated commentary on certain videos sometimes glitches out, resulting in bursts of static or silence.

The AI commentator experienced glitches in two videos – “Ric Flair SENDS A CHILLING Message To Triple H After WWE Ban” and “Triple H Just Released 25 More WWE Superstars And Nobody Saw It Coming.” In both cases, the AI began repeating the word ‘what’ and couldn’t continue.

Okay, so I checked out the videos, and one of them actually has usable subtitles – you can really get a sense of what the AI is supposed to be saying. But the other one? Forget about it. The automatic captions YouTube made just keep repeating “what” and “whoa” for ages. It’s pretty unhelpful!

Timestamp of 9:00

The channel, with about 2,000 subscribers, has gained a lot of attention, largely because viewers are making fun of the AI’s mistakes.

One person joked about struggling to keep up with the speed of hot dogs on a conveyor belt. Another commenter replied, saying they were laughing so hard they were crying.

Someone commented that the AI voiceover glitch at 9:03 was incredibly funny, adding, “It’s a great time to be alive!”

Someone on Bluesky pointed out that this channel seems to be filled with low-quality, AI-created content – including misleading thumbnails and obvious errors – and suggested the creator should delete it and leave YouTube altogether.

YouTube is starting to restrict videos created using artificial intelligence, labeling some as low-quality and even suspending popular channels that primarily produce this type of content.

The platform has faced criticism because it relies on AI to moderate content, and this has unfortunately resulted in some authentic creators being incorrectly flagged for sharing false or misleading information.
