Temple Maker 64 is a game where you can design and build dungeons in the style of classic Zelda games like Ocarina of Time. It has a similar look and feel to those beloved adventures.

Ever since the release of Super Mario Maker, Zelda fans have wished for a tool to create their own dungeons. Now, an independent game developer has done just that, releasing a dungeon-building game inspired by the Zelda series before Nintendo could create its own.

As the name suggests, Temple Maker 64 puts you in the shoes of a dastardly dungeon master, allowing you to kit out your very own dungeons with traps and puzzles.

I was so excited to see this new game! There’s even a character who looks a lot like a male version of Zelda’s Link – seriously, you’d swear they were brothers! Plus, it’s packed with all sorts of cool items, monsters, and some really tough bosses to fight.

Temple Maker 64 allows you to design challenging dungeons, with complete freedom to customize everything – from trap locations and room layouts to the number of levels and the creatures that inhabit them.

You can design puzzles inspired by classic Zelda games, like hitting illuminated targets with arrows, finding and activating secret floor switches, and using bombs or a grappling hook to reach new areas.

But there’s more! You can also share your creations with others, letting them play through your dungeons. You can even send them directly to your friends and see if they can conquer your challenges.

You don’t even need to create your own levels to enjoy the game! You can grab your sword and explore dungeons built by other players.

Okay, so Temple Maker 64 doesn’t have a firm release date yet, but you can add it to your Steam wishlist to stay in the loop. Honestly though, my biggest hope is that the developers avoid making another Water Temple from Ocarina of Time – seriously, that place still haunts my dreams!
