Okay, so this is crazy. Jynxzi, a popular Twitch streamer, got perma-banned from League. Apparently, he bought an account that was already leveled up, which you’re definitely not supposed to do. But then, get this, someone who works at Riot just gave him a new account! It’s a whole mess, and people are pretty upset about the special treatment.
So, on April 17th, things started when a Riot developer, Drew Levin, reminded everyone that buying accounts is still a big no-no. He basically just tweeted, “buying accounts still illegal fyi!” It’s frustrating to see people still trying to do it, but good on Riot for continuing to address it.

Jynxzi was permanently banned from League of Legends after buying an account that was already leveled up. This goes against Riot Games’ rules, which prohibit buying or trading accounts to avoid the initial stages of the game. Riot has consistently cracked down on this practice, known as account boosting.
Jynxzi responds as Riot steps in
After being banned, Jynxzi addressed the issue during his livestream and admitted to purchasing accounts that had already been leveled up.
I understand what you’re saying, Drew. I was just trying to play aggressively and didn’t mean to ruin the game for players at a lower rank.
After Jynxzi admitted to purchasing boosted accounts in “League of Legends” following his ban, someone from Riot Games reached out and offered him an account to use.

Even though he was permanently banned from the game, Drew Levin contacted Jynxzi directly. After seeing Jynxzi’s stream, Levin provided him with a new account so he could keep playing.
“Check your email, our creator team has an account for you,” Levin responded.
Jynxzi was able to start playing League of Legends again right away, despite being initially banned. The situation also led to online conversations about whether Riot Games treats well-known players differently than other players, but Riot hasn’t publicly commented on this specific case.
