Police in Florida have arrested two teenagers for performing dangerous stunts and filming them for social media. The stunts took place inside a Target and a Culver’s restaurant, and included driving a lawnmower into the Target store.
Ocala police arrested 18-year-olds Janek Szkaradek and Luke Charske following two separate incidents at businesses on Southwest College Road.
According to police, Szkaradek went into a Culver’s restaurant on Friday and used a leaf blower inside. This caused a disturbance, knocking over items and employees’ hats, and created a safety risk for everyone inside.
According to authorities, the next day Szkaradek drove a lawnmower into the entrance of a nearby Target, damaging a door.
Police say Charske filmed the incident at Target, and it appears the whole thing was done to get attention on social media.

Teens arrested after viral social media stunts
Szkaradek faces criminal mischief and disorderly conduct charges for the incident at Culver’s, and an additional disorderly conduct charge for what happened at Target.
Charske was accused of disorderly conduct as a main participant because he reportedly filmed the incident at Target.
Szkaradek’s bail was set at $1,500 while Charske’s was set at $500.
As a fan of creative content, it’s really concerning to see some of these social media trends getting out of hand. The Ocala Police put it perfectly – these aren’t just silly videos, they’re actually crimes, and people need to understand there can be serious repercussions for these dangerous stunts.
“Think before you record, it’s not worth an arrest and a criminal charge.”

According to police, these actions put people in danger and caused needless damage to property.
These arrests happened because people are increasingly worried about prank videos going too far and causing problems in public places like stores and restaurants.
Johnny Somali, a popular streamer, recently received a six-month prison sentence in South Korea. This followed a number of attention-grabbing social media pranks and the sharing of deepfake content.
Recently in Florida, a TikTok user was arrested for using AI-generated videos to falsely report break-ins of police cars as a prank.
TikTok creator Heston James could face up to nine years in prison for a series of disruptive pranks he pulled at businesses across Arizona over several months.
