NIS America, Happinet, and Adglobe have revealed that Brigandine Abyss will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam) starting August 26th. In Japan, Happinet will publish the game on August 27th.
I first heard about Brigandine Abyss back in the February PlayStation State of Play, and I was immediately interested. It’s the third game in the series, and what really grabbed me is that some of the people who worked on games like Sengoku Basara and Fire Emblem were involved in making it!
At PAX East, Kennedy played Brigandine Abyss and found it both challenging and engaging, ultimately losing but still enjoying the experience.

Brigandine Abyss is the latest installment in a long-running strategy series, offering a fresh world that’s easy for both newcomers and veterans to enjoy. Centuries after the original Abyssloa Empire was defeated, a new threat has emerged, aiming to conquer everything. Players will manage resources, command powerful monsters, and fight against the empire across six unique story campaigns.
For a different way to play, Mission Mode lets you lead one of 24 distinct factions, each with its own goals. Whether you prefer a challenging strategic experience or a more relaxed playthrough, Brigandine Abyss offers hundreds of hours of gameplay.
Gameplay revolves around two phases: the Organization phase, where you prepare your forces and resources, and the Attack phase, where you engage in battle. The game retains the series’ signature hexagonal grid-based combat, demanding careful consideration of unit skills, elemental strengths, and army development to achieve victory.
