Yung Filly, a British YouTuber and rapper, has returned to social media after almost a year. This comes after he was initially arrested in Australia facing sexual assault charges.
In October 2024, Yung Filly-whose legal name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos-was arrested and accused of sexual assault. This followed a report made to the Western Australia Police by a woman who claimed she was sexually assaulted in the rapper’s hotel room.
In January 2025, he faced further accusations stemming from another event. These charges included six counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault causing physical injury, and one count of strangulation.
Since then, Filly hasn’t been very active on social media. He was photographed by paparazzi in March while at the Perth Magistrates Court. When approached, he cheerfully said, “Good afternoon. Enjoy the weather man, it’s a lovely day!”
During the court hearing, he denied all accusations leveled against him. These charges specifically included: “three counts of assault causing physical injury, one count of strangulation, and four counts of non-consensual sexual penetration.”
Almost a year after the initial charges were filed, observant Snapchat users have noticed him posting updates to his stories.
Yung Filly spotted on social media for first time after sexual assault charges
Currently, two posts from his stories are gaining traction online: one is a selfie where he asks his followers if his curly hair “suits” him, and the other showcases his PC, where he brags about being the “best at Warzone.”
Neither post addressed the charges against him, leaving users frustrated and demanding answers.
One user on X commented that the man didn’t respond to the accusations, instead simply asking his followers an unrelated question. They called it a classic case of “elite deflection.” This tactic is often used to avoid addressing difficult issues.
“First post back after all that and it’s about the hair… bold choice,” another said.
“He thought if he ignored the allegations, it would go away,” yet another pointed out.
Yung Filly recently made a post on Snapchat – his first since accusations surfaced – and asked a question to his followers.

Filly gained prominence as a member of the YouTube group ‘Beta Squad,’ and often worked with another popular creator, Chunkz. He also appeared as a guest on Celebrity Bake Off and presented shows on BBC Three.
In September 2025, a judge changed the terms of his bail, permitting a brief trip back to the UK. However, he is required to be back in Australia by January 7, 2026, for his ten-day trial at the Perth District Court.
