MrBeast apologizes after Kai Cenat calls Team Water campaign “fishy”

During the 28th day of his Mafiathon 3 stream, Kai Cenat was surprised when MrBeast donated 200 gifted subscriptions and then called him. The call was to discuss and resolve issues stemming from their Team Water controversy.

As a huge fan of Cenat, I’ve been watching his incredible subathon all month! He was streaming non-stop trying to hit one million subscribers, and he actually did it! Then, on September 28th, someone with the username “MrBeast6000” made a huge donation during his stream. It got Cenat talking about all the buzz around MrBeast’s Team Water charity, which is pretty awesome. I’m so happy for him!

I recall @xQc and @KaiCenat discussing who has more money on stream, comparing finances directly. Let’s find out for sure. Whoever donates the highest amount to TeamWater is officially the wealthiest 🤪

“I’m being honest, I really like Jimmy. Jimmy’s great,” Kai said while streaming. “That whole situation that happened last month seemed a bit suspicious. But hey, no offense to anyone, I’m just keeping it real, and I want to give a shout-out to Jimmy.”

Kai was talking about a tweet where Jimmy playfully challenged both xQc and Kai Cenat. He wanted them to donate to TeamWater as a way to see which streamer could be considered “the richest.”

MrBeast calls in to squash the beef

Soon after, MrBeast called Kai Cenat while he was live streaming to congratulate him on reaching over one million subscribers and to talk about the issues between them directly.

Okay, so I was listening to Jimmy and he was telling this hilarious story! Apparently, he had two Kai Cenats saved in his phone, which is already funny. He said he’d been calling and texting one of them a lot, but it took him a week to realize it was Kai’s old number! He even reached out to Kai’s manager, thinking Kai might be mad at him! Thankfully, Kai’s manager set him straight, and then Jimmy finally got the right number. He was totally shocked – he’d been texting the wrong person the whole time! He said it was like, ‘Oh, sh*t!’ when it finally clicked.

I heard that Kai wasn’t thrilled with how things went down, but he did say he appreciated MrBeast reaching out. Apparently, some fans were trying to make it seem like Kai was being difficult because he didn’t join Team Water, and MrBeast thought that was just completely ridiculous. He put it like this: “There are causes I don’t support too. Not everyone can be involved in everything.” It’s good to see MrBeast sticking up for him, honestly. It’s just plain silly that people were trying to twist things.

The two found the misunderstanding amusing, and Cenat concluded the call by saying to his audience: “That’s why I fk with Jimmy.”
