The latest episode of Invincible, Season 4 Episode 6, exposed the traitor within the Coalition of Planets. This mole was responsible for the destructive attack on Talescria, the alliance’s home world. While fans had many guesses, the episode unveiled the culprit in an unexpected turn of events.
Recent episodes of the show have been incredibly intense, featuring a violent fight between Mark and Conquest 2. The battle left the young hero severely injured, needing months to recover from devastating internal injuries inflicted by a Viltrumite.
The show’s creators playfully misled fans by hinting at a possible return for the character Conquest, but they assure us he’s truly gone for good this time.
Mark, Omni-Man, and Oliver returned to the Coalition of Planets with perfect timing, preventing Thragg and the Viltrumites from destroying Talescria. Throughout Invincible Season 4, Episode 6, many viewers suspected characters like Telia, Allen the Alien’s girlfriend, of being a traitor, and the episode finally revealed the surprising truth.
Who is the mole in the Coalition of Planets?

It’s been revealed that one of the Data Twins is a traitor working against the Coalition of Planets. The larger twin has been secretly aiding the Viltrum Empire and sabotaged the Coalition’s defenses, leaving their headquarters vulnerable to attack. His betrayal is exposed when Telia traces the disabling command back to his console, prompting the smaller Data Twin to react with furious violence, shooting his brother in the head.
Instead of punishing the traitor for his actions, they spare him because of his intelligence. When asked how long he’d been betraying the Coalition, he confessed it had been years. He explained he’d known the enemy would win and simply wanted to survive. He believes they will still be victorious.
He informs the others that Thragg is heading back to Viltrum to allow the Empire to prepare for their next move in the war. Thaedus, the Coalition’s leader and a former Viltrumite, argues that they should strike against Thragg now, while he’s vulnerable, strongly hinting at the events that will unfold in the final two episodes.
The mole in the Coalition of Planets plays out in a similar way in the comics

Okay, so as a huge Invincible fan, I wasn’t totally shocked by how the mole storyline unfolded in Season 4. It really stuck close to what happened in the comics, which was awesome to see! It felt like a faithful adaptation and honestly, I was expecting it, knowing the source material.
Right after the Viltrumite attack in Invincible #74, Thaedus figures out that one of the Data Twins gave away the Coalition’s hiding place to the Viltrum Empire. He’s the one who strangles the thinner twin, not Allen the Alien. After that, everything happens exactly as it did before – the innocent twin shoots the traitor.
The mole delivered a crushing blow to the Coalition, telling them, “It’s hopeless. You’ve already lost this war.” He revealed that if they were defeated in the current battle, the enemy would regroup on their home planet, Viltrum, and launch a devastating counterattack. “They’re all going there,” he said, emphasizing the scale of the threat. “All of them. It’s over.”
He believes the Viltrumites are unbeatable if they work together, and the Coalition of Planets doesn’t stand a chance. We’ll find out if that holds true when the final two episodes of Invincible Season 4 air.
While we wait for more news, I’ve been revisiting the awesome soundtrack from Invincible Seasons 1 through 4. It’s kinda wild how some of that show is now considered ‘lost media’! I also dug up what little info there is about a possible Invincible movie – definitely keeping my fingers crossed for that one.
